IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE: Warranty coverage is strictly limited to what is stated on the invoice. If there is any conflict between this policy and the invoice, the invoice controls. By purchasing and/or installing the product, the customer acknowledges and agrees to all terms herein, subject to any non-waivable rights under applicable law.

Quick Summary (Invoice Controls):
  • USED Parts (Standard): Six (6) months parts-only limited warranty, unless otherwise stated on the invoice.
  • USED Parts (Extended – Optional): One (1) year or Two (2) years Parts & Labor may be offered ONLY if purchased and listed on the invoice(1X / 2X / 3X if applicable).
  • REMAN Parts: Certain remanufactured products may include a third-party warranty (up to 3 years or 100,000 miles) ONLY if stated on the invoice and only after customer registration with the remanufacturer.
Read This First: This document is a Warranty Policy, Disclaimer, and Limited Service Agreement. It limits ULTRA AUTO PARTS LLC’s obligations and customer remedies. Unauthorized teardown, repair, or continued operation after suspected failure will void coverage.

1) Definitions

  • “UAP”: ULTRA AUTO PARTS LLC.
  • “Customer / Purchaser”: The original buyer identified on the invoice.
  • “USED”: recycled/used component sold by UAP.
  • “REMAN / Remanufactured”: product rebuilt or supplied by a third-party remanufacturer; any warranty (if any) is administered by the remanufacturer.
  • “Warranty Period”: the period stated on the invoice, or the standard periods in this policy if not otherwise stated on the invoice.
  • “Covered Failure”: internal mechanical failure of lubricated components due to normal use, subject to all exclusions, limitations, inspection, and compliance requirements.
  • “Like Kind and Quality”: a replacement used component comparable in application and function, which may not be identical in appearance, cosmetic condition, or prior service history.

2) Governing Terms & Priority of Documents

The invoice is the controlling legal document. This Policy provides general terms that apply unless the invoice states otherwise. Any oral statements, text messages, or representations not expressly written on the invoice are not binding.

This Policy is intended to be interpreted and enforced to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in such cases, those limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law.

3) Covered Components (Overview)

Coverage is limited to internal mechanical failure of lubricated components, and applies only during the warranty period and only after the claim process is followed. Supporting components and maintenance items are excluded unless required by applicable law or stated on the invoice.

ENGINE (Used / Reman as applicable)

Typically Covered (internal lubricated components):

  • Crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, wrist pins
  • Main and rod bearings
  • Camshaft and internal valvetrain lubricated components (as applicable)
  • Oil pump failure only if included with the assembly and proven to be the cause of internal failure (subject to inspection)

Not Covered / Excluded (common examples):

  • External components/accessories: alternator, starter, AC compressor, power steering pump, turbo/supercharger, injectors, coils, sensors, wiring
  • Maintenance items: plugs, belts, hoses, filters, fluids
  • Gaskets and seals (including head gasket, rear main seal, valve cover gasket) unless otherwise stated on invoice
  • Damage due to overheating, oil starvation, coolant loss, detonation, improper tune, modifications, or lack of maintenance
  • Intake gasket failure is not covered under any circumstances unless required by applicable law and explicitly stated on the invoice.

TRANSMISSION (Automatic or Standard)

Typically Covered (internal lubricated components):

  • Internal gears, shafts, drums, clutch packs (as applicable)
  • Internal bearings and lubricated internal hard parts
  • Valve body/internal hydraulic failure only when determined to be internal mechanical failure (subject to inspection)

Not Covered / Excluded (common examples):

  • External electronics, solenoids, sensors, wiring, modules (unless stated on invoice)
  • Clutch wear due to normal wear, misuse, or improper installation
  • Fluid contamination, incorrect fluid, no flush, cooling system issues
  • Mounts, linkage, seals, gaskets, filters, fluids

TRANSFER CASE

Typically Covered (internal lubricated components):

  • Internal gears, chain, shafts, bearings (as applicable)
  • Internal lubricated hard parts failure due to normal use (subject to inspection)

Not Covered / Excluded (common examples):

  • Actuators, electrical components, wiring, controls (unless stated on invoice)
  • U-joints, driveshafts, mounts, linkage
  • Seals, gaskets, fluids; failure caused by fluid leaks not addressed

DIFFERENTIAL

Typically Covered (internal lubricated components):

  • Ring & pinion gears, carrier, internal bearings
  • Internal lubricated hard parts failure due to normal use (subject to inspection)

Not Covered / Excluded (common examples):

  • Axles, axle seals, hubs, wheel bearings (unless stated on invoice)
  • Noise/whine considered normal wear unless failure is verified by inspection
  • Damage caused by incorrect gear oil, contamination, lack of maintenance
Important: “Covered components” are general examples. Actual coverage depends on the exact part sold and what is included with that assembly. The invoice and inspection results control eligibility.

4) Used Parts — Standard Limited Warranty (Parts Only)

Qualifying USED engines and USED transmissions include a six (6) month limited parts-only warranty, unless a different term is stated in writing on the invoice.

This standard warranty does NOT cover (including but not limited to):

  • Labor, diagnostics, teardown, installation, reinstallation, towing, storage, downtime, rental, lost income, or lost profits
  • Fluids, filters, gaskets, seals, belts, hoses, tune-up items, sensors, supporting components
  • Damage caused by overheating, coolant loss, oil starvation, detonation, misuse, or improper maintenance

5) Used Parts — Extended Parts & Labor Warranty (Optional – If Purchased)

Extended coverage is available ONLY if purchased and explicitly listed on the invoice. If it is not listed on the invoice, there is NO extended parts & labor coverage.

  • Term: One (1) year or Two (2) years (as listed on invoice)
  • Coverage Type: Parts & Labor (subject to inspection and written authorization)
  • Replacement Events: 1X / 2X / 3X (if applicable) as shown on invoice
Mandatory Inspection & Authorization: All extended parts & labor claims require inspection and written approval BEFORE any removal, teardown, repair, or replacement. Unauthorized work voids coverage immediately.

Extended Labor Limits (If Applicable)

  • Labor Rate Cap:$75.00 per hour (maximum) unless otherwise required by law or stated on the invoice.
  • Book Time: labor time paid per recognized labor guide (e.g., Mitchell/industry standard), at UAP’s discretion.
  • Maximum Total Payout: parts + labor combined shall not exceed 1.5 times the base purchase price of the part.
  • No Coverage: towing, diagnostics, rental cars, loss of wages, storage, downtime, or consequential damages.

If a replacement part is provided under any warranty, the customer may be offered the option to purchase a new extended plan for the replacement part (if available). Any such option must be purchased and stated on the invoice to be effective.

6) Remanufactured Parts — Third-Party Manufacturer Warranty

Certain remanufactured engines and transmissions may include a third-party manufacturer warranty of up to three (3) years or 100,000 miles, whichever occurs first, ONLY if stated on the invoice.

  • This warranty is solely provided, administered, and enforced by the remanufacturing company.
  • The customer must register the warranty directly with the remanufacturer within the required timeframe.
  • Failure to register may void remanufacturer warranty coverage.
ULTRA AUTO PARTS LLC disclaimer: ULTRA AUTO PARTS LLC does not control the remanufacturer’s warranty terms, does not approve/deny remanufacturer claims, and does not pay for remanufacturer repairs or labor. ULTRA AUTO PARTS LLC acts strictly as a parts reseller.

7) Mandatory Installation & Maintenance Requirements (Condition of Any Warranty)

As a strict condition to any warranty coverage, the customer/installer must follow all manufacturer procedures and industry standards. UAP may require documentation proving compliance. Failure to comply voids warranty coverage.

Minimum Requirements (Examples)

  • Engine: flush cooling system; verify radiator/fans/thermostat operation; replace oil and oil filter; prime oiling system; correct fluids.
  • Transmission/Transfer Case: flush cooler, lines, and related systems; install new filter(s); use correct manufacturer-recommended fluid; verify cooling performance.
  • Differential: correct gear oil; verify venting; address leaks; ensure contamination-free fill.
  • General: replace worn supporting parts as needed (hoses, belts, sensors, mounts, etc.); no tuning/modifications that increase load beyond OEM design.

Gaskets/Seals/Filters/Fluids: These are maintenance items and are not covered unless stated on the invoice. It is recommended to replace common seals prior to installation (e.g., front/rear main seals, oil pan gasket, intake gaskets) as applicable.

8) Claim Process (Required for Any Warranty)

  1. Stop using the vehicle/part immediately if a failure is suspected to prevent additional damage.
  2. Contact ULTRA AUTO PARTS LLC first before removal, teardown, repairs, or replacement.
  3. Provide your invoice number, VIN, mileage, and description of symptoms.
  4. Provide written diagnostics from a licensed repair facility (and photos/videos if requested).
  5. UAP may require inspection, teardown authorization, additional testing, or third-party verification.
  6. No reimbursement for labor or repairs without prior written approval.
Important: Warranty claims are evaluated on the evidence provided. ULTRA AUTO PARTS LLC reserves the right to inspect the part and determine whether the claim qualifies under this policy and/or the invoice terms.
Inspection Rights / Evidence Preservation: Customer must preserve the part and make it reasonably available for inspection. If the part is discarded, altered, disassembled without authorization, or otherwise not available for inspection, the claim will be denied.

9) Remedies (UAP’s Election) & Replacement Terms

UAP, at its sole discretion and as permitted by law, may elect to repair, replace, or refund. Replacements (if provided) may be used components of like kind and quality. Any proration or mileage adjustment, if applicable, must be stated on the invoice.

10) Warranty Void / Denials (Common Reasons)

  • Improper installation or failure to follow manufacturer procedures
  • Failure to replace/inspect supporting components (cooling system, oiling system, etc.) as required
  • Overheating, coolant loss, oil starvation, detonation, lack of maintenance documentation
  • Abuse, racing, off-road misuse, towing misuse, commercial use, modifications, or tuning
  • Contaminated fluids, incorrect fluids, or failure to flush required systems
  • Customer/installer tampering, concealment, unauthorized repair, or misrepresentation
  • Continued operation after warning signs or suspected failure
Misrepresentation / Tampering: Any tampering, concealment, unauthorized repair, modification, or misrepresentation of the product’s condition, usage history, damage, or installation details may immediately void all warranty obligations.

11) Non-Transferable Warranty Clause

This warranty is provided solely to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. It does not apply if the product is sold, assigned, leased, or otherwise transferred. Any such transfer voids warranty coverage as of the transfer date.

12) Limitations of Coverage & Liability

  • Coverage is limited to the covered part (and approved labor only if an extended plan was purchased and listed on the invoice).
  • UAP is not responsible for towing, diagnostics, downtime, lost profits, rental vehicles, storage, or incidental/consequential damages.
  • Any liability is strictly limited to the original purchase price of the part, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
  • All warranty decisions are final, subject to any non-waivable rights under applicable law.

No Implied Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OTHER THAN THOSE EXPRESSLY STATED ON THE INVOICE AND IN THIS POLICY. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties; if so, such limitations apply only to the extent permitted.

13) Related Policy

This Warranty Policy works together with the Terms & Conditions. Returns/refunds are subject to the Terms & Conditions and inspection requirements.
